  • Rochdale College of Art, Foundation Year, Rochdale, England, 1964-1965
  • B.A Honours in Three-Dimensional Design (major in Ceramics, minors in Silversmithing and Sculpture), Camberwell School of Art, London, England, 1965-1968
  • Post-graduate studies in Ceramics, Industrial Design and Technology, North Staffordshire Polytechnic, England, 1968-1969

EXPERIENCE

  • High School Art Teacher (teaching ceramics, photography, jewelry and sculpture) in Manchester, England, 1969-1973
  • Established Caeathro Pottery (producing functional and decorative stoneware pottery) in Caeathro, North Wales, with his wife Meg, 1973-1982
  • Head of the Ceramics Department at Bolton College of Art, England, coordinating a 3-year vocational course in Studio Ceramics and teaching in the Fine Arts Diploma program, 1975-1980
  • Welsh Development Agency Pottery Consultant, 1980-1982
  • Established Little River Pottery (producing decorative and functional stoneware pottery) in Comox, British Columbia, with his wife Meg, 1983-present
  • Teaching part-time University transfer courses in Ceramics and 3D Design at North Island College, Courtenay, BC, 1984-1992
  • Became a full-time member of the Fine Arts Faculty and Department Chair, establishing a two-year Fine Arts and Design Diploma program at the new campus in Courtenay BC. Involved in the design of the new Shadbolt Studios and the partnership between North Island College and Emily Carr University establishing an external BFA program at the NIC campus, 1992-2014
